Catchy title huh? Spilling the tea on the brand's Origin Story
My best friend and I started this business almost three years ago. It was something we were passionate about and worked hard to build from the ground up. In Oct of 2021, she announced that she was leaving the business to pursue other interests. While I was sad to see her go, I'm hopeful for what the future holds for the business we created together. and the direction my staff and I are taking it. Thank you for being part of my journey!

I started a boudoir business with my best friend
Starting a business with my best friend was one of the best decisions I ever made. She is my better half and her enthusiasm, humor and talent complemented me perfectly. We had a lot of fun starting our boudoir business together and achieved more than we could have done on our own. Collaborating opened up opportunities for creativity and professional growth that we hadn't even considered before.

We had a great time taking photos of women of all shapes and sizes
Taking photos of women of all shapes and sizes was an incredibly meaningful experience. It was profound to see the mindset shift that occurred among the women involved - after a few minutes in front of the camera, they gained confidence and came to realize their unique beauty. By the end of our photo shoots, we all left feeling empowered and encouraged by what had transpired; it was truly a testament to the importance of self-acceptance! Our goal was to provide a space for these participants to embrace their individuality without judgement - and I am thrilled that we met this goal with so many positive results.

But then she left the business, leaving me to run it on my own
When my business partner left and I discovered that I was alone to run the business, I must admit I was scared. In one moment, the in-home studio was gone and I had to figure out where I was going to photograph clients we already had booked! All of a sudden, things didn't seem so simple anymore, but these fears soon triggered in me a deep spiritual journey - one that has become essential for me to stay afloat during this transitional time. With newfound resource and optimism, I thrive with determination and ever-growing confidence.

I was so scared, but I decided to continue on with the business
Having my world and plans change so quickly made it feel like it was taking away any hope I had in continuing on with the business. However, it forced me to look within and come up with a creative way forward. I started to view the situation from a different perspective and it allowed my creativity to bloom. It put me in the position where I could use it all - the pain, fear and hurt - as fuel for my fire. Although it hadn't been my original plan, it has lead me on an incredibly rewarding journey. And with it a brand new studio!

I'm now doing better than ever, and I've learned some valuable lessons along the way
My new staff and I have been hard at work over the last few years, and it's paid off - my business is now bigger than ever. We've moved into an amazing new studio, with hundreds of new clients lined up eager to benefit from our services. I'm now doing better than ever, filled with a new-found appreciation for life's unexpected opportunities. All my hard work has honestly and truly paid off - I feel incredibly blessed each day that I get to do what I love and be surrounded by such incredible people. Along the way, I've learned some valuable lessons: the importance of believing in myself, staying focused on the task ahead, and never giving up even if it seemed impossible.
If you're considering starting something new, don't give up just because things get tough - you can make it through anything!
Starting something new can definitely be nerve-wracking, especially if you're going for something that's outside of your comfort zone. However, it's important to remember that the greatest achievements oftentimes come from the hardest challenges. You may feel overwhelmed and uncertain at first, but don't give up because that feeling won't last forever. Take risks and know that no matter how tough things get, there is always a way forward as long as you have perseverance and a little bit of luck! Anything is possible when push comes to shove - trust yourself to make it all the way through.

I'm so glad that I didn't give up on my business when things got tough - if I had, I would have missed out on some of the most valuable lessons I've learned in my life. If you're considering starting your own business or project, don't let the possibility of failure dissuade you - it's worth it, even if things don't always go according to plan. Have you ever started a business or project on your own? How did it go?
